Farm In The City - Fun Petting Zoo For Family

Most children who stay in the city seldom get the chance to see farm animals. It would be nice for city children to see and pet these farm animals. Bringing children to a petting zoo is the best way for children to learn, pet and feed animals. Farm In The City, Seri Kembangan has the most number of animal species in a petting zoo according to the Malaysia Book of Records and it is a very educational and fun place for the whole family.

Farm In The City has 17 stations to explore including pony rides. We saw alpacas, deers, horses, guinea pigs, rabbits, skunks, snakes, tortoises, fish, birds, raccoons and many other animals. It combines wildlife animals and tamed animals without cages. Animals are allowed to roam freely and visitors can feed, pet and take memorable photos. The design here is like a typical Malaysian 'kampung' and you can really feel yourself in a farm. We spent about 3 hours here and my children had a lot of fun feeding, petting and learning about these animals.

As we entered, we were given vegetables to feed the huge turtles and tortoises. We took lots of photos feeding and touching them.

Free-flight bird aviary was a large enclosed space for birds to wonder around freely. There were many species of birds including peacock, golden pheasant, sparrow, myna and purple swamphen.

Children and adults can learn the names of these birds.

Moods Lake was a very nice lake where we saw ducks, swans and lots of really beautiful koi fish swimming near us for food. My children enjoyed feeding the fish and ducks very much.

The reptiles cavern was a nice place to see different types of reptiles. We saw the blue-tongued lizard, python and bearded dragon. We were scared to touch these reptiles at first but after the ranger convinced us that they won't bite, we were no longer scared.

Young children will love the 'Longkang' Fishing, Rabbit and Guinea Pigs petting area. Cuddly animals are my daughter's favorite.

Touching the soft alpacas reminded me of my first time touching them when I was about 8 years old. I really loved their soft fur which can be made into winter clothing. My children told me they love touching them too.

Another fun thing to do here is to feed the deers.

Feeding the raccoon was a great experience too. This raccoon was not afraid of people and would take food from our hands. What a lovely photo we took for remembrance.

We saw a very cute common marmoset and my son couldn't resist touching it.

Twilight creatures station is where you can see beautiful owls. My children told me it was their first time seeing real owls.

Farm In The City is the best place to bring your children to learn more about animals. Feeding and petting them will bring everlasting memories. If you do not have plans for school holidays, you can always consider bringing your family here.
