HADA LABO’S BLEMISH & OIL CONTROL GEL

Humidity and the hot weather can stimulate the secretion of sebum, resulting in oily skin. Oily skin is believed to be one of the main causes of acne. Wearing a face mask for long hours, which is a new norm now also contributes to skin irritation and can aggravate acne and pimple skin.

There is a misconception that using a moisturiser on oily or acne skin would worsen the skin condition but moisturising works in keeping pimples and zits at bay. Skipping this critical step may cause dry, flaky skin which will bring about more breakouts. That’s why it is important that oily or acne skin gets properly hydrated with the right moisturiser.

To offer consumers with oily or acne-prone skin an enhanced solution to their skin concerns, Hada Labo has introduced the Blemish & Oil Control Gel, an all-new moisturiser to keep skin smooth, clear, and healthy.

Among highlights of the Hada Labo Blemish & Oil Control Gel:

  • Natural Plant Extracts to strengthen the skin barrier

Extracted from natural pearl barley, the Hatomugi extract and other plant extracts such as Centella Asiatica, Houttuynia Cordata and Chamolie Flower extract to help in reducing blemishes and calming irritated skin to keep the skin clear and healthy.

  • 2 types of Hyaluronic Acids for deep and long-lasting hydration

The Hyaluronic Acids function to lock in moisture, storing and replenishing moisture for significantly soft, smooth, and supple skin.

  • Lightweight texture

The lightweight gel texture provides instant absorption into the skin, leaving skin fresh with a non-sticky feeling.

  • Skin pH Balanced and Low Irritation

  • Free of Fragrance, Colorant, and Mineral Oil

Directions of Use:

  1. Use twice a day after Hada Labo Blemish & Oil Control Lotion.

  2. Take a sufficient amount and apply it evenly on the face and neck.

  3. Gently massage and pat to allow absorption into the skin.

The Hada Labo Blemish Oil & Control Gel is suitable for daily use. It is now available in leading pharmacies nationwide at RM75.90.

Malaysian sellers participating in Shopee’s 9.9 Super Shopping Day for the first time achieve over 5 times uplift in sales

Shopee continues to offer more value and fun for shoppers and sellers during its 9.9 Super Shopping Day. The start of the End of Year Sale season concluded on a high, with local sellers in Malaysia who were participating in Shopee’s 9.9 Super Shopping Day for the first time achieving an average sales uplift of more than 5 times on 9 September, compared to a usual day.

Health & Beauty, Home & Living and Mobile & Accessories emerged as the top categories sold during the shopping festival’s peak day.

Interestingly, despite the recent announcement that face masks are no longer mandatory indoors except in certain situations, masks were still one of the most sought-after products on 9 September. Treats and snacks for cats and storage products such as folding boxes, cake boxes and paper bags also proved to be a hit among consumers. The latter may be a sign that local sellers are preparing for anticipated orders in the coming months.

Those living in Johor Bahru, Kinta, Seremban, Melaka Tengah, Kuching and Kota Bharu were busy checking out their shopping carts during 9 September. These locations registered the highest number of orders in the country, outside of Klang Valley.

Meanwhile, live streaming continued to provide enjoyable and interactive shopping experiences to users. Within the campaign period from 26 August till 9 September, Malaysian shoppers spent over 2 million hours watching streams on Shopee Live. Buyers also had fun while shopping, with a total of over 24 million game plays on Shopee Prizes during the same period.

ShopeePay was also a preferred payment method for checking out by users when purchasing items on Shopee during the 9.9 Super Shopping Day. Within the first two hours of 9 September, there was a 9-times uplift for orders paid using ShopeePay, compared to an average day in the previous year. In the last two years since the pandemic, users are likely more accustomed to paying using cashless payments methods like ShopeePay for ease of use as well as value in terms of rewards.

ShopeeFood since starting in November 2021 has helped many users to connect with merchants that are both big and small through the integrated platform offered by Shopee. Micro merchants especially benefit greatly from the ecosystem as the platform helps merchants to expand their businesses in the post-pandemic period by connecting them to a large base of online users available on the Shopee mobile app.

This is evident based on the Top Dishes ordered by users during the 9.9 Super Shopping Day. Across all the five locations (Kuala Lumpur/Putrajaya, Johor, Penang, Sabah and Ipoh), most users took advantage of the great discounts and promotions to order their favourite local staples like Roti Canai, Satay and Nasi Ayam Penyet. Besides supporting local F&B merchants, users also ordered a high number of food items like Strawberry Chocolate Chip Almond Milk Frappe, Sushi, Matcha Boba Tea and Pasta based food items.

Kenneth Soh, Head of Marketing Campaigns at Shopee Malaysia said, “We’re really humbled to play a small part to help local sellers on our platform achieve a significant level of sales uplift during the 9.9 Super Shopping Day. We can see that our marketing tools and seller engagement features are empowering MSMEs to capture significant growth opportunities in the digital economy. Shopee is looking forward to continuing boosting their sales during the year end, while enabling Malaysians to enjoy the best savings on our platform.”

Shopee Celebrates the Heart of Malaysia on E-Commerce

60% of Malaysian consumers are proactively supporting local sellers with #ShopeeSapotLokal, at the live reveal of the platform’s largest marketplace study this year, Celebrating the Heart of Malaysia on E-Commerce*, in conjunction with the company’s 9.9 Super Shopping Day.

When 3,356 consumers were asked “Why do you think it is important to support local sellers?” between 19 July to 17 August 2022, 30% endorsed the quality of Made-in-Malaysia goods that cater to their local preferences, 20% stated that they want to keep the economy running for patriotic reasons and 8% were sellers supporting other local sellers in the same boat. 42% preferred shopping local to get their items delivered faster.

Among these respondents, half of them (54%) are working full time, 18% are in-between jobs, 17% are senior citizens, 6% are stay-at-home parents and 5% are university students.

Shopee also examined what Malaysians valued about online shopping. Over 70% of consumers surveyed estimated that their everyday online shopping transactions resulted in savings of over 5% consistently.

“Interestingly, not all buyers prioritise discounts and vouchers exclusively. Seven in 10 Malaysians value peace of mind over lower price,” according to Kenneth Soh, Head of Marketing Campaigns at Shopee Malaysia.

Nine in 10 Malaysians still buy online despite the reopening of physical outlets because it is a learned and adopted habit. The majority value having ‘peace of mind’, with 40% enjoying the convenience of parcels delivered to their doorstep, 17% feeling safe with Shopee Guarantee, and 10% trusting reviews and pictures from other buyers.

For 49% of buyers, Shopee is the top-of-mind shopping destination for lifestyle products, including home decoration items, fashion pieces, and health and beauty products. Apart from that, 24% of buyers purchase living essentials (groceries and diapers) from Shopee, 16% look for tech devices (computers, mobile devices and TV) and the remaining 11% buy automobile parts or work and school supplies.

“When Malaysian consumers express their values through online shopping preferences this way, we truly understand why eight in 10 local sellers started their selling journey online with Shopee. We are humbled to discover that half of our local sellers surveyed say the income earned on our platform is crucial as it enables them to support their families,” said Soh.

The majority of local sellers began selling online with Shopee to overcome existing limitations on their earnings and participation in the economy: 24% because it is their only source of income,  5% can’t get a job, 18% need to supplement income and 24% feel the pressures of higher costs of living. 30% said they became Shopee sellers because of their passion for their business.
