Swimming in Abundance and Prosperity at Sungei Wang Plaza

Sungei Wang Plaza is ushering in the Year of Fiery Fire Rooster with Abundance and Prosperity at Sungei Wang Plaza from 7 January to 19 February 2017.  My children and I were there at the Grand Launch and we enjoyed every moment there.

Step into the Atrium, a lotus flower pond with nine koi fishes jumping out. The nine koi fishes ascending upwards to the top of the dragon gate symbolizes leading shoppers and tenants to the triumphant new year. The number of nine and lotus symbolizes longevity and koi fish believes to bring prosperity and abundance for all. Not only that, a majestic stage with beautiful arches are set at Side Court to host entertaining and exciting Chinese New Year shows as we usher in the lunar new year.

A star-studded media launch for Abundance and Prosperity at Sungei Wang Plaza was held on 7 January 2017. The launch was kicked off with an eight feet long Koi Fish FengShui Live Painting by Master Pang Heng Khan together with an acrobatic lion dance performance by the Malaysia Lion Dance Champion, Kwong Ngai Lion Dance. The launch is officiated by Ms Yuen May Chee, Complex Manager of Sungei Wang Plaza, Mr Joseph Teo, Head of Marketing Communications and accompanied by special appearance of Major (H) David Teo, Director Silver 小华导演， Jeff 陈浩然， Beauty 张文盈， Bernard 邱文博，Emily 陈子颖，January 苏湘庭，Fancy 吴胤婷，Bosvin 曾重凯 and Juztin 刘界 辉.

A video on CSR initiative to Rumah Victory Elderly Home was shown. It was followed by a Koi Fish FengShui Painting presentation by Master Pang to the home and a souvenir presentation from Rumah Victory Elderly Home to Sungei Wang Plaza and Master Pang. 

The launch continued with the first ‘Love From Kampung’ movie promo for a meet and greet session where celebrities interacted with their fans. In the movie, some of the scenes were filmed at Sungei Wang Plaza to promote the well-established mall in Kuala Lumpur. The launch is attended by old folks from Rumah Victory Elderly Home, representative from Star Cruises, MIG, SCCA, Shaolin GC Showtime Academy, Yites, Viralcham, Symbol Jewels and Youth Dreamss.

CSR Programme
On 27 December 2016, Sungei Wang Plaza management team, SCCA and MIG celebrities visited Rumah Victory Elderly Home. The 59 old folks were entertained by lion dance performance and god of prosperity meet and greet session. The management cleaned and decorated the home with Chinese New Year decorations, while haircutting servicesfor old folks was done by SCCA team. Lastly, ‘yee sang’ and ‘tong yuen’ that were made by the management team together old folks and MIG celebrities were served together with everyone. A Donation Box, Abundance of Love for Rumah Victory is set at Concourse Level to raise funds for Rumah Victory Elderly Home. Come and donate generously and all donations will be used to upgrade the drainage system at the home and help with their daily expenses. On 2 February 2017, the annual Magnum Chinese New Year Charity Programme supported by Sungei Wang Plaza that benefits thirty charity organizations within Klang Valley will be held at the centre stage with a series of programmes. Chinese New Year Gets Bigger Than Big at Giant

In conjuction with the year of the rooster, Giant's Chinese New Year campaign is having big discounts and larger range of product offerings and meaningful treats to customers. During the Chinese New Year launch, Ms, Saki Goh said, "We know that Chinese New Year is a big celebration that focuses on families, hence we are offering big promotions, bigger treats and exciting redemption programmes. Chunciou Hot Pot Malaysia - 1st Authentic Taiwanese Imperial "served-to-table" Hot Pot Buffet

Happy New Year 2017 to all my readers! On new year's day, I had a very delicious authentic Taiwanese Imperial "served-to-table" hot pot buffet at a newly open restaurant, Chunciou Hot Pot Malaysia at Old Klang Road. Chunciou Hot Pot is here to serve you the best from Taiwan. Chunciou Hot Pot ingredients are 80% imported from Taiwan and 100% truly Taiwanese recipe.

The restaurant is nicely decorated with many Chinese historic elements and has a good, cozy ambience for its customers. There are terra cotta army replicas and antique designs.

There are 6 different types of soup base. Tomyam, Herbal, Spicy, Lakesalt, Tonkatsu and Sukiyaki. We tried the Lakesalt and Sukiyaki soup which was recommended to us as the most popular soup base. The Sukiyaki was quite sweet and absorbs into the food to make food sweeter and tastier. Try not to cook your food too long in the Sukiyaki soup because when too much soup is absorbed into the food, it'll taste too sweet. My daughter loves to put mushrooms into the Sukiyaki soup so it'll taste sweet. I prefer the Lakesalt soup because it's very tasty and is suitable for all the different types of food even if it's cooked for longer period.

There are many types of meat served. The fresh meat are cut into thin slices. You can get the Australian strip loin, Australian rib eye, lamb shoulder roll, pork belly, pork shoulder, pork neck, chicken fillet and duck roll.

There are many types of  balls including the wasabi balls, premium prawn balls, premium cuttlefish balls, mushroom fish balls, duck meatballs, curry fish balls, Taro fish balls, handmade meatballs and cheese fish tofu which was my favorite. There is also the 'mua chee' ball with sweet black sesame inside which needs to be cooked before eaten.

The sauce plays a very important role when you eat hot pot. The food tasted more delicious with the right sauce. There are many different types of sauce here. I like the Fruity sauce which is a little sweet and sour. My daughter likes the sha cha sauce which is a little spicy. 

You can customize your own signature sauce, the golden egg yolk Sukiyaki sauce by following the 4 steps here.

1. Add sesame sauce
2. Add 1 egg yolk
3. Add chopped shallots and spring onions
4. Add a dash of shichimi to spice up the sauce

This sauce can enhance the texture and juiciness of the meat while making the temperature just nice to stimulate your taste buds. The sauce adds juiciness to the fresh-cooked meat，while bringing down that hot pot heat.

In Malaysia, we love to eat vegetables and you can refill as much as you like. There are pumpkin, cabbage, tomato, carrot, chinese yam, sweet potato, cucumber, chinese fungus, bok choy, spinach, white carrot, Chieh Gua, mushroom, abalone mushroom, golden mushroom, yau mak, corn and eggplant.

Besides these, you can get glass noodles, udon, spinach noodles, beancurd and braised pork rice.

All these food are served to your table and this is what I love when having a buffet. I do not need to walk to take my own food. 

Many different types of drinks are available including soft drinks, tea, milo, coffee, lemonade, ice lemon tea, orange juice and others.

Last but not least, there are yummy deserts such as ice cream, red bean soup and sweet lemon slices. 'Ancient General' will randomly make surprise appearances during meal hours to offer diners free rewards in the form of delicacies such as bird's nest and special items.

I really enjoyed dining here and I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends. It is a great place for family dining or for meeting up with friends.

SkyPark Terminal and Grab enter into a ground-breaking agreement

Malaysia’s busiest domestic airport, SkyPark Terminal, achieved another milestone when it became the first airport in Malaysia to collaborate with South East Asia’s leading ride hailing service, Grab. The agreement was signed at a Press Conference at the Peugeot Lounge at SkyPark Terminal by Yg. Bbhg Tan Sri Datuk Ravindran Menon, Executive Director of SkyPark Terminal, and Jaygan Fu, Grab Malaysia’s Country Head.

Tan Sri Datuk Ravindran Menon, Executive Director, Subang SkyPark Sdn Bhd; Jaygan Fu, Country Head, Grab Malaysia, sign the Memorandum of Understanding document to officially launched the 4-year agreement between them, as Aaron Chin, Head of Partnership, Grab Malaysia looks on.    

The two household names entered into a 4-year agreement that will make the commute for travellers from SkyPark Terminal to their preferred destinations much more convenient. With this agreement, travellers will be able to book their Grab rides even before they leave the Arrivals Hall through a Grab kiosk, and after a mere couple of minutes, be on their way to a destination of their choosing.
