Chinese New Year Gets Bigger Than Big at Giant

In conjuction with the year of the rooster, Giant's Chinese New Year campaign is having big discounts and larger range of product offerings and meaningful treats to customers. During the Chinese New Year launch, Ms, Saki Goh said, "We know that Chinese New Year is a big celebration that focuses on families, hence we are offering big promotions, bigger treats and exciting redemption programmes. Our campaign is about great discounts, savings and voucher giveaways for all their Chinese New Year needs."

The five-week long Chinese New Year - Make it GIANT promotion runs from 29th December 2016 to 27th January 2017. For the first time, Giant in introducing special Chinese New Year traditional, casual and leisure wear for adults and children. There were models doing their cat walk at the launch. Some of these clothes start from RM 8.88 which is really cheap.

There are huge giant items such as Premier Facial Tissues with 8 boxes in a packet, 4 litres Sensez Beauty Shower Cream, 8.5 kg Fab Powder Detergent and Downy Fabric Softener at 3.8 litres seen displayed at Giant Hypermarkets.

Giant is the first retailer to bring in Giant Grouper Fish (weighs at least 10kg per Grouper fish) available at selected stores. There are also big and fresh tiger prawns for sale.

Visa Cardholders will also stand a chance to walk away with lucrative prizes including the Grand Prize of a Hyundai Starex Royale worth more than RM 160,000 when they participate in the 'BIG WINNER Visa Spend & Win Contest' from 29th December 2016 to 28th February 2017. There are also 100 Giant Gift voucher consolation prize worth RM 200.

Besides these discounts, there is a redemption programme for customers who spend RM 38 in a single receipt to collect 1 stamp. A collection of 10 stamps will allow customers to purchase a limited edition Bakeware & Serveware at special discounted price. This redemption programme is from 2nd January 2017 to 16th April 2017. The stamps are also available in Caltex and customers will be able to get additional stamps upon purchasing selected items.
