I was happy to be invited to witness the grand launch of Taste By Champignons and The Champignons Cake Shop at Eko Cheras Mall recently. The grand launch was very happening with lion dances and delicious food and dessert. It was quite crowded as there were many people there to celebrate this auspicious day.
Chef Gary Chang and me
This restaurant is spacious, cozy and very relaxing. Two days before the grand launch, I was there with some blogger friends to try out their delicious food.
Forest Mushroom Soup With Garlic Croutons (RM 12) was made from all fresh ingredients and very tasty. I will be coming back for more of this.
The Champignons Cake Shop is next to Taste By Champignons and the desserts here really look so attractive to me. The man behind these cakes is Pastry Chef Kingsley Kwoh. Kingsley’s passion for baking came from his mother who was an avid home baker. Encouraged at a tender young age, Kingsley eventually made it his career specializing in Modern French Patisserie. He went under the tutelage of French Pastry Chef Sebastien Bernis, at the renowned cake shop in the Luxury 5-Star Mandarin Oriental Hotel Macau. The team was featured in TK Magazine Macau (Issue No.19) and they went on to become the Silver Medalist in FHM in 2013. Kingsley loves to incorporate art into his creations and strongly believes that appearance is just as important as taste. He has over 10 years’ experience as a Pastry Chef and his last tenure of 4 years was with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Macau before he left to join Chef Gary at Champignons.
These desserts look so nice, cute and too beautiful to be eaten. These small, cute desserts price ranges from RM 14 to RM 18 each. If you love desserts, come here and enjoy these cakes with your friends and family.

The Norwegian salmon fillet and Australian grain-fed beef striploin looks nice and delicious. Their food must have been delivered through professional frozen food transportation to the restaurant. Thank you for the recommendation.
