Culture Blitzz by MaTiC and Peace Yall.fm

Tourism Malaysia (known as MaTiC) and Peace Yall.fm launched 'Culture Blitzz' program to promote the art and Malaysian culture at tourist destinations. I was glad to be invited to Saloma Theatre to attend this with my family.

The program is to highlight the uniqueness of the cultural and heritage of Malaysians. There was distribution of 'Bubur Lambuk' and traditional dances at popular tourist destinations such as MaTiC, KL Tower, Bukit Bintang and KLCC. There was a Hop On Hop Off bus tour to these destinations with invited guests and Dato' AC Mizal and PeaceYall.fm deejays.

Later there was breaking of fast at Saloma Theatre where guests had delicious buffet food. There was cultural dances to entertain us.

There will be lots of programs by Tourism Malaysia, MaTiC starting from July 2016 to December 2016. Some of them are

1) Traditional Dance performance (every day except on Sundays and Public Holidays from 3pm to 4pm)

2) Mak Yong theatre (19th to 20th August 2016)

3) Classical Indian Dance performance (26th to 27th September 2016)

4) Malaysian Traditional Orchestra (2nd to 3rd September 2016)

5) Puteri Lindungan Bulan (14th to 15th October 2016)

6) New Year Eve celebration at MaTiC (31st December 2016)

Peace Yall FM is an online radio interactive show owned by Dato' AC Mizal or more well known as 'Mr. Versatile'. He is a businessman, actor, singer, comedian. Starry Feast By The Beach at Sunway Lagoon

Starry Feast By The Beach was a night to be remembered as it was an appreciation dinner for the Corporate and Media. I was glad to be invited to this dinner and it was really wonderful having dinner by the beach with the cool breeze blowing after the rain. This was a Moroccan style hawker buffet dinner with breathtaking performances.

There was a warm welcome speech by the emcee of the evening before the dinner started. Guest were encouraged to take photos with the dancers.

There was a variety of delicious food which included satay, capati, curry fish, grilled fish, cuttlefish, beef, lamb, prawn, corn dogs, popiah, Hokkien noodles and lots of fruits and desserts.

My daughter enjoyed eating satay the most.

At 8:00pm, there was an opening dance which was pretty good.

Next was my favourite, the Limpopo Acrobatic Performance.

Followed by the Fire Show.

My daughter and I enjoyed our dinner and all the breathtaking performances here. We had a wonderful starry feast by the beach, thanks to Sunway Lagoon and the PR for the invite.

M136 Coffee House

M136 Coffee House is a very nice, cozy café for hanging out with friends or for family dining. It is at 136-G, Jalan Jejaka, Taman Maluri, Kuala Lumpur. The name M136 is from their address. M136 Coffee House open in October 2015. It started with serving coffee and cakes but now it has a wide variety of Western and local home cooked style food.

Both the owners do not have any prior experience in food and beverage industry, but they wanted to provide the locals a place where they can escape from their daily and relax for a moment while they having their meal. M136 Coffee House has a simple industrial interior with 2 sections to the café. The outer section has been filled with metal high rise chairs and sofas, and the inner section has a small sofa area where the customers can have more privacy to themselves.

There is a small play area for young children to play while parents chat and eat with their friends.
