New Attractions at SnowWorld Genting Highlands

SnowWorld at First World Genting Highlands is the largest winter wonderland in Malaysia. It covers an area of 22,800 square feet and the temperature is -6 degrees Celcius.

My family has been to Genting Highlands many times and we never get bored because there are lots of things to see and do here. Two days ago, we were invited to visit SnowWorld to see their latest European facade and comical props. These come in the form of 3D trick art, fanciful comical props with hilarious names like King's Feast, Falling Chandelier, Distorted Knight, Snow Monster and Dragon Prop. It was really a fun and memorable experience and we enjoyed every moment there even though it was freezing cold.

My children enjoyed sliding down the slope on the tube. They went on this 3 times. Playing in the snow was so much fun and we didn't need to travel far to other countries to play snow.

I really like the European facade because it's like a European village with replicas of various European symbols creating a believable imaginary world. It reminded me of my tour to Europe with my parents and brother many years ago. You can make-believe you are touring Europe as you take in the sights and sounds at the various "countries" created, namely Holland, Italy, Norway, England, France, Spain, Germany and Switzerland.

This is a beautiful family photo taken in front of the Holland facade with the 3D Holland Clog.

I was holding a French bread at the France facade. The bread looked very real and I felt like I was in France for a moment.

A big red cow in front of the Swiss Chocolate shop at the Switzerland facade.

My children learned a lot about each European country by visiting SnowWorld. The tour itself can be considered educational - Geography lessons for children or visitors can come here to take beautiful heartwarming photos with their friends and family.

There are lots of 3D trick art photos for visitors to take on the top most level. You need to becareful when you walk because it is slippery when ice is formed. Visitors can take pictures of themselves with the Snow Monster or as part of someone's food at the King's Feast or appear to be stuck in a black cast-iron cauldron, the unfortunate victim of a trio of witches at the Bubble, Bubble Toil an Trouble segment.

A very nice photo of a 3D prop taken by Miera Nadhirah.

SnowWorld has revised its ticket price and the new rates are RM 38.30 for adults and teenagers (RM 34.50 for Genting Rewards Card or GRC members) and RM 32.50 for children and senior citizens (RM 29.20 for GRC members). There is also a Family Package priced at RM 129.10.

Wings Musicafe Xmas Menu

Every year I feel excited and happy when the month of December approaches because Christmas is the best time of the year for me. I love to see the colorful Christmas decorations at shopping malls and restaurants. Last week I was invited to Wings Musicafe Xmas Pre-Launch Party as Wings launched a series of Christmas menu. My children and I loved all the cute food decorations.

These were the 2 tables for all the bloggers to enjoy the Xmas menu. My children loved the food here. We enjoyed listening to the songs there too.

Mumbo Jumbo Burger is the 2016 main Christmas Meal strongly recommended by Wings. It consists of two pieces  of beef patty, one piece of chicken patty, served with vegetables, tomato and cheese, and Wing's specially designed Fries Tree. Its unique and tempting sauce, a secret recipe invented by Wings Central Chef Clement Tay will make this an unforgettable Christmas meal.

Salted Egg Chicken Chop looks really cute with the snowman made from mash potato. This dish not only looked nice but tasted really delicious. The chef blended the salted egg powder until creamy and fried it until fragrant. Then the chef mixed the salted egg sauce with the crispy chicken chop and fried it with small fire until it is fragrant. This was my favorite dish of the night because the salted egg sauce was very smooth, delicious and covered the whole of the chicken chop so that every bite had the taste of the salted egg sauce.

Fries Trees was a brilliant idea and very decorative too. This will surely make you feel the Christmas season. There were 3 flavors, Tangy Curry, Cheesy Primero and Mexican Chilli. My son and I loved the Cheesy Primero the most.

Luncheon man was so cute I didn't feel like eating it. It looks like Gingerbread Man but it's made from luncheon. It's cute and delicious. My children loved them very much.

Christmas Platter consists of Cheesy Ham Sausage, Snowman Mashed Potato, Luncheon Man and Fries Tree, well decorated for this Christmas. Come and enjoy this with your friends and family this Christmas. You will love the cute decorations and delicious food.

There were two special drinks introduced in the menu. Olaf from the Disney movie 'Frozen' wish to experience the feel of summer. This time, Wing's chef melts Olaf and brings it to celebrate Christmas in Malaysia. When you order this drink, observe the making process of how the sudden explosion shows how Olaf melts. This drink tasted really special, something I have never tried before.

This is a video of how the Olaf drink was made.

The second drink was Rudolph and its red color comes from Ribena's grape ingredients. The bright red color is really suitable for this festive season.

Nicholas was the happy birthday boy and we celebrated his birthday with a lovely cake.

Come and celebrate Christmas here at Wings Musicafe with your friends and family this year. It will surely give you an unforgettable dining experience and do take lots of photos. For more information on Wings Musicafe, visit their Facebook HERE

The First Lego Ninjago The Ride In Asia Comes To Malaysian Shores

My family and I love to go to Legoland especially my children. We were really excited to be invited to try out Ninjago The Ride at Legoland. This ride is open to the public on 4th November 2016.

LEGOLAND is a Theme Park, Water Park and Hotel in one LEGO® themed location. It is a family holiday destination with more than 70 handson rides, slides, shows and attractions and designed for families with children aged 2-12. It’s the first of its kind in Asia and offers adventure, education and fun for action-packed day trips or short break destination. The resort was awarded the Best Tourist Attraction in the Man-Made Attraction category at the prestigious Malaysia Tourism Awards for the year of 2014/2015, ranked No.1 in the TripAdvisor® Traveller’s choice award 2016 as the first choice families hotel in Malaysia, and named No.6 in Asia overall, being the only resort in Asia to make the cut. On top of that, the Resort also received the Merit Award at the Landscape Design Awards for the year 2015, given and recognized by the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia, under the Professional Category. Having bagged these achievements and many more unstated, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort seeks to continue to expand and bring new additions to the Resort, to ensure that it remains the crown jewel of Malaysia.

LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort announced the opening of its latest hi-tech attraction on 28th October 2016, LEGO® NINJAGO™ The Ride, the very first of its kind in Asia. The new ride enables guests to use their hands to throw virtual lightning bolts, move shockwaves, send ice soaring and emit fireballs with incredible accuracy. The ride is the Resort’s largest additional investment since its opening and is set to redefine the theme park experience for guests.

Gadaffie bin Abdul Aziz, Tourism Johor; Yang Berbahagia Datuk Seri Mirza Mohammad Taiyab, Director-General, Tourism Malaysia; Thila Munusamy, Director of Sales & Marketing, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort; Phillip Whittaker, Chief Executive Officer (Attractions), Themed Attraction Resorts & Hotels Sdn Bhd; (front) Bryan Herbert; Blair Herbert; Puteri Balqis; Mia Sara.

LEGO® NINJAGO™ The Ride is a fully immersive 4D dark-ride inspired by the highly popular LEGO® line of NINJAGO™ toys and TV series, allowing guests to become their favourite characters and defeat enemies, from snake tribes, ghosts and skeletons to the Great Devourer under the guidance of Master Wu. The unique hand gesture technology by Triotech defines the experience by letting guests throw virtual projectiles with mere hands.

“These are exciting times for LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort. LEGO® NINJAGO™ is an incredibly popular brand and we’re proud to be the first to bring this experience to Asia. The LEGO® brand inspires people to grow through play and it is this commitment that breathes life into the attractions we have at LEGOLAND. We’ve taken a few steps in the right direction here, as LEGO® NINJAGO™ The Ride takes immersion and play to a whole other level,” says Young PilKim, LEGOLAND’s General Manager (Interim).

Yang Berbahagia Datuk Seri Mirza Mohammad Taiyab (Director-General, Tourism Malaysia) and Young Pil-Kim (Interim General Manager, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort) test out the interactive activity, Nya’s Practice, in the brand new NINJAGO World.

With an investment of more than RM40 million, LEGO® NINJAGO™ The Ride is experienced in 3D and features effects such as heat, smoke and wind throughout the adventure, giving guests the ultimate 4D experience. But the real highlight of the ride is its hand gesture technology. Manufactured by Triotech, a global leader in media-based interactive attractions, the technology enables guests to do as the ninjas do and launch fireballs, lightning, shockwaves or ice with hand movements. Hi-tech sensors register these movements with great accuracy and seamlessly launch virtual projectiles towards the targets on display. Up to four guests sit in each ride vehicle and are guided through various scenes encountering villains and challenges. At the end of the quest, guests can view their individual scores on display.

You might need some practice before you can control the powers. Hands have to be a minimum of 8 inches high above the sensors. The duration of the ride is 3 minutes 30 seconds long. Children must be at least 115cm tall and 6 years old to go on the ride unaccompanied by an adult. The 4D effects consisting of heat, smoke and wind are incorporated throughout the adventure giving guest the ultimate interactive experience.

According to Young, LEGO® NINJAGO™ The Ride is among several planned additions meant to take the Resort to the next level, “We’ve always believed in introducing new additions to the Resort every year to ensure that every visit is a new one. This ride is a little special because of the large investment that went with it, but it should point to our commitment to bring state-of-theart play to the region – the way only LEGOLAND® can. And we’re not stopping here. LEGO® fans can look forward to plenty of exciting things to come from us for 2017.”

My Vanquish Treatment at Premier Clinic - Part 2

I was at Premier Clinic for my 2nd vanquish treatment. If you want to know more about what vanquish is, you can read my earlier post HERE. When I was there, they weighed me as usual, got my body fat measured , blood pressured readings and did all the necessary procedures before my vanquish treatment. I lost about 0.6 kg since my first treatment. It was not much because the doctor said it usually needs about 7 to 8 treatments, each treatment done weekly to see results.

KIDZANIA KUALA LUMPUR AND FIPPER TEAM UP TO EDUCATE KIDS

KidZania Kuala Lumpur, the award-winning indoor themed learning centre, announces Fipper Marketing Sdn Bhd as the newest member of its circle of forward thinking industry partners.

Supporting KidZania Kuala Lumpur’s unique approach to inculcating life skills learning in children, the partnership with Fipper will see the addition of the ‘Fipper Slipper Workshop’ to KidZania’s child-friendly cityscape. The establishment will enable children to participate in a fresh variety of profession based role-play activities designed to expose them to product design and basic innovation.

At the Fipper establishment, children will be able to experience the work of a Slipper Maker and Retail Manager. The former role will educate children on the basic construction of slippers and instances where materials and tools can be used to improve the product, while those in the role of the latter will experience the importance of attentiveness and product knowledge in servicing and managing customers.

“At KidZania Kuala Lumpur, we are dedicated to our ‘Learn Life Today’ value proposition, which
places emphasis on life skills development in children. With the establishment of Fipper within
KidZania Kuala Lumpur, we are thrilled to be able to present to kids the opportunity to view
innovation, not simply as the development of an entirely new product; but innovation as the
recreation of novelty in everyday items,” said Susanah Abdul Rani, Governor of KidZania Kuala
Lumpur and Singapore who commemorated the event with the symbolic presentation of ‘keys’ to
the city to its new partner.

“One myth about innovation is that it is all about new products. That is not necessarily so, and
the success of Fipper Slippers is a testament to that. We’ve taken the everyday slipper and modernised it to be relevant to current trends and needs. I am confident that the establishment of
Fipper Slipper Workshop in Kidzania Kuala Lumpur, will provide the platform to educate the
young generation about the importance of innovative thinking and the possibilities of the future,”
said Danny Goh, Director of Fipper Marketing Sdn Bhd.

Incorporated in 2008, Malaysian brand Fipper, has established itself as an industry leader in the rubber slipper business with outlets located across Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mauritius, Cambodia, Vietnam, Europe and USA. Fipper sets itself apart from other slipper manufacturers by focusing efforts in the design and innovation of its products, producing
highly popular slippers that are not only trendy but environmentally responsible. All Fipper products are biodegradable, anti-bacterial, BPA Free.

KidZania Kuala Lumpur offers over 100 profession related role-playing activities spread across 60 various city establishments that encourage children to practice adaptive and positive behavior that will help to groom them to handle the demands and challenges of everyday life.
