A Voyage of Style & Beauty at IOI City Mall set sail from 18th April 2016 to 15th May 2016. To know more about IOI City Mall, you can read my old blog post HERE.

In conjunction with Mother's Day, some bloggers were invited to bring their mothers for some styling and beauty sessions. We gathered at Facial First.

Jimmy Yong, the CEO of Wyann International greeted us and explained about the first and only DNA skin test in Malaysia. This DNA test enables us to discover any skin genetic factors and to take note of these : Collagen Degradation, Free Radical Protection, Glycation Binding, Skin Hydration, Sun and Pigmentation Protection, Skin Sensitivity and Inflammation.

This test is very simple and done in a few seconds. Using a swab, scrape vigorously inside one of the cheeks many times and place the swabs into a hygiene packet, seal it and sent to USA for the result. The test results take about 4 weeks.

DNA Skin enables them to identify our exact genotype to determine the perfect skin care regime. This will help us to achieve the healthy, beautiful and flawless skin we desire.

BBQ Buffet Dinner at Kontiki, Federal Hotel Kuala Lumpur

If you do not have any plans this Mother's Day, you can bring your mom, your wife and your family to Tiki's Mother's Day BBQ BUFFET DINNER at Kontiki, Federal Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Kontiki Restaurant was open on 19 September 2014 where diners can celebrate the art of dining with a unique combination of Asian & Continental favourites plus a fabulous selection of carvery and seafood BBQ delights.

Kontiki has dining at the poolside for weekends. This is one of the best buffet I have tried, there are many varieties of food such as fresh seafood, aromas of perfectly barbequed beef steak, lamb cutlet, juicy sausages, yummy BBQ chicken wings and finger-lickin' smoked skewered meats, BBQ seafood large squid, fresh water prawn, tiger prawns and flower crabs.

Buffet carving stations include roasted whole lamb rack, roast prime rib (beef), roast chicken, roast whole salmon fish, served with sauce of mint, mushroom, black pepper, rosemary, cream whote herbs and BBQ. The chefs have prepared the main dishes to cater to different taste buds such as Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, gratin cauliflower with parsley, beancurd with assorted mushroom, brocolli with egg sauce, seafood stew, and the favourite dishes from Tunku's Kitchen. The satay meat was tender and tasted good.

The prawn was really fresh, mutton tasted delicious and I love the sweet and sour chicken. 

Delicious desserts include ice-cream, ais kacang, a variety of cakes, jelly, and fruits.
