Nuffnang 8th Birthday Party at Zouk, KL

Nuffnang - Happy 8irthday!

I was really delighted to be invited to the Nuffnang 8irthday party on 21st March 2015. The party was held at Zouk Club, KL. Since I have not gone there for a long time, it made me feel young again to party there and I really enjoyed myself. This year's theme was the 1960's Audrey Hepburn style...Breakfast at Tiffany's.

There was a photo booth by Fotobox for us to take lovely photos for remembrance.

We were treated to soft, smooth ice-cream and delicious macaroons by MilkCow. 

There were 5 flavours for these macaroons  - Peanut Butter, Red Velvet, Salted Popcorn, Chocolate Mint, Rose of Lychee. I liked Chocolate Mint the most.

My son really enjoyed his ice-cream. 

More desserts from Foret Blanc. These were really delicious and cute!

We brought back a cute silver box with a macaroon inside from Foret Blanc.

The pretty emcee was Carine Tan who was wearing a dress by Rent A Dress KL. 

Carine Tan invited the Co-Founder, Timothy Tiah for the opening speech of the celebration.

We were entertained by a live saxophone performance by Ken Wooi. He was really good. Below is a photo of me with him playing his saxophone. 

There were also 3 booths - Sales booth, Talent and Community Team booth and the Advertising Operations booth where we could join and answer their questions to be rewareded with a Garden of Dazzle Swarovski crystal brooch pin.

Neutrogena new products review

I was given the privilege to review 2 new products by Neutrogena Malaysia.

One is the 99% deep clean brightening foaming cleanser (the one on the left) which is very effective in deep cleaning with 2 times brightening power for a cleaner, fairer and more radiant skin. The formula contains mulberry extract and has whitening vitamin complex that makes your skin fairer with every wash. It is very effective in removing make-up and sun block. The whitening complex consists of AA2G (Ascorbyl Glucoside) which reduces melanin production. Mulberry Extract contain Ascorbic Acid and Niacin (Vitamin B) to brighten the skin.

After I tried the deep clean brightening foaming cleanser, I feel my skin to be very clean and moisturized. My skin is not oily and not too dry, it  looks more radiant, healthy and slightly fairer.

The one on the right side of the photo is the 99% deep clean with 2 times hydrating power foaming cleanser. This is an effective moisture balancing facial cleanser with long lasting oil control and 2 times moisture boost for cleaner, softer, suppler skin with every wash. Enriched with water mineral complex, it instantly hydrates skin. It consist of the combination of Copper Gluconate, Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, and water.

It has a fresh and nice scent as I lather the cleanser to a foam on my palms. After I wash my face with it, my face feels smooth, clean, fresh and less oily.

A Glamourous Evening at the Party Of The Century on 23rd January 2015

A GLAMOUROUS EVENING AT EMPIRE CITY

Everyone has been talking about the Party Of The Century and I was really glad to be invited to attend this glamorous party by Empire City. It was my biggest ever party that I have attended so far. Mammoth Empire opens it's door for a one night only private showcase.

PETALING JAYA, 23 January, 2015 - Mammoth Empire, in conjunction with the coming completion of Empire City at the end of the year, opened its doors for one night only to give guests a glimpse of what is in store once this prodigious project becomes fully operational.

The private affair was held as a show of appreciation for their business partners and associates, and to launch Empire City’s 5 core pillars which forms the philosophy that drives the development and operation of all establishments.

The night saw a star-studded event with some of the most notable personalities gracing the red-carpet. In keeping with this enviable project, the event was held in an unconventional location: the Empire City site that is due for completion at the end of 2015. To fully immerse guests in Empire City’s unique style, a section of the mall was completely transformed and fashioned after a 1920’s soiree complete with a grandeur entrance, elegant decor and arresting performances.

Kicking-off the evening was popular Korean ballad boy band, 2AM who took over the stage and performed their famed You Wouldn’t Answer My Call, Can’t Let You Go and With or Without You to a screaming crowd of fans.

After which a string of distinctive performances were put together, bringing to life the 5 pillars that underlined Empire City’s unique offerings. Showcasing the project’s prominence in Music, Australia’s Got Talent winner, Mark Vincent serenaded the crowd with superior vocals and performed a stunning showcase The excitement continued as Cait, the electric violinist cum aerialist performed a surreal acrobatic recital as she flipped, spun and played upside-down, at death defying heights to amplify Empire City’s positioning on Performances.

Embodying the Art feature, speed painters Michael Raivard and Brad Blaze, both renowned for magnificent masterpieces, had guests in awe as their creations came together in record speed. A group of shadow dancers played out an artistic routine to reinforce the development’s Design stature while the thunderous sound of drums coupled with flying dragons soared in and embodied Empire City’s deep roots in Culture.  

As a special bonus, guests were also entertained by some of the biggest stars in the international circuit. Coming on after an enigmatic unveiling of Empire City’s 12 Towers, socialite, heiress and media personality, Paris Hilton, took over the decks and performed her signature mish-mash of EDM tracks. But not before soloist Mark Vincent returned to the spotlight and charmed guests with another stunning showcase. Taking over after a roaring applause was none other than Black Eyed Peas’ rapper cum Kung-Fu dancer, Taboo who performed some of the group’s top tracks; I got a feeling, Boom Boom Pow, Where is the Love and Rocking to the Beat.

To close off the evening, Zouk’s resident DJ Ken treated guests to a round of Electro House, Progressive House, Industrial and Electronica.

From style to service, and architecture to amenities, Empire City aims to deliver the most unique and enriched experience to all.  Included within Empire City will be a number of matchless offerings, such as the cinematic world’s first 4-D theatre, an Olympic-specification ice rink and stylized boulevards, like Asian Food Street, that will bring the international luxury feel to life for residents and visitors alike.

As a development preview, a first for a Malaysian project, Empire City’s “Party of the Century” with its ‘Glamourous 20’s’ theme has set a high standard and new benchmark for all others in 2015. This is really The Party Of The Century that I truly enjoyed.

 Mark Vincent, the 21-year old Australian singer has released six albums since winning Australia’s Got Talent in 2009, when he was a mere 15-year old.

2AM K-Pop Biggest Boy Band (Korea), K-Pop chart-topping boy band comprises of Jo Kwon, Lee Chang Min, Im Seul Ong and Jung Jin Woon, who rose to prominence for their signature ballads and love songs after a successful debut album, Saint O’Clock, in 2010.

Taboo, the American rapper and founding member of the Grammy award-winning hip hop group, Black Eyed Peas, has achieved phenomenal global success since the group formed in 1995. Taboo recently released his first solo single, "Zumbao" in May 2014, an energetic song that is all about spreading positivity.

The theme for this party is Glamorous 1920s'. Everyone will be dressed like in The Gatsby Movies.

One of the top DJs from Zouk, DJ Ken will be there to keep you entertained the whole night.
