Cheras LeisureMall's Toybank - A Gift Of Love

Christmas is not just about exchanging gifts with friends & family or taking nice photos with Santa Claus. Christmas is about sharing your love, helping the less fortunate and making a difference in the lives of others. Cheras LeisureMall's Toybank, A Gift of Love is an annual community initiative which aims to create a platform for members of the public to share the true meaning of Christmas with the underprivileged children.

This year, members of the public were invited to fulfill the wishes of over 800 children from 15 participating children's homes. Colorful wish list cards bearing three wishes by children from the participating homes were hung up at Level 2, LeisurePlex Concourse from 7 to 26 December 2019 and shoppers helped to fulfill the children's wishes by picking a wish list card, preparing the gifts and depositing the gifts back at the Toybank. The children attended the Toybank Gift Presentation Ceremony on 28 December 2019 to receive their gifts.

The participating charity homes and organizations include Bodhi Homecare, House of Love, Lighthouse Children Welfare Home Association, Living Hope Global, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary KL, Persatuan Kebajikan Dan Sosial Da Ci, Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Insan (PKKII), Pusat Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah, Rainbow Home Welfare Society, Rumah Charis, Rumah Sayangan, Rumah Shalom, Rumah Victory - Children & Youth Home, Stepping Stones Living Centre and Yayasan Sunbeams Home.

Mr. Subramaniam Apparow, Senior Manager, Property Division, PPB Group Berhad said, "The 'Toybank, A Gift of Love' program started out as a humble initiative to invite and encourage the public to participate in simple acts of philanthropy aimed at helping underprivileged children. Over the years, we are glad that this program has grown to become a continued tradition for many regular donors who always return to support this meaningful cause - bringing more and more friends and family members each time. It is the support by all of you that drives the growth of this ToyBank initiative, and it is our hope that this initiative continues to reach out to more and more needy communities in years to come."

There were many fun activities to treat the 200 children from the participating homes. First, the children were entertained by watching a special screening of the movie, "Jumanji, The Next Level" by Golden Screen Cinemas. After the movie, the children had a scrumptious buffet lunch while watching interesting Christmas performances. There was also a special appearance by Santa Claus, a thrilling magic show and balloon sculpture by a clown magician, sand art, face painting and lots more!

It was nice to see the smiles on these underprivileged  children's faces this Christmas. Everyone had a lot of fun and thank you LeisureMall Cheras for having me there to feel the true meaning of Christmas!

Spicy Master Restaurant & Bar

If you love to eat Indian food, you can try Spicy Master Restaurant & Bar which is located at 24, Jalan 8/23E, Taman Danau Kota Off Jalan Genting Kelang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 53300. Spicy Master Restaurant & Bar is owned by Sri Mira Sdn. Bhd.

This restaurant serves a fusion of Nothern Indian cuisine and Western cuisine in a great and relaxing ambience. There is alfresco dining as well as air conditioned indoor dining.

There is also a bar for those who love to drink and socialize.

When I was there with my 2 kids, we tried a few dishes. My son liked the Butter Chicken (North Indian style) which was just a little spicy and suitable for him since he doesn't eat spicy food. The chicken was tender and the sauce was tasty and creamy. My children ate this with Briyani rice which was not spicy.

We also tried the Mutton Briyani which was spicy with tender mutton meat. This would tantalize your taste buds and spice up your life. It came with delicious sauce and salad as a side dish. The portion was huge and suitable to be shared with 2 people.

Mutton Briyani

For dessert we had Payasam which is a sweet Northern Indian dessert made with milk, rice and grains. It was our first time we tried this dessert and we loved it.

Recently I have tried the Safi Youth Radiance Anti-Aging & Whitening Essence (100ml) and Safi Radiance Serum Infused Moisturiser (40g) and I find that these products are suitable for my skin. I have dry skin but I still have acne breakouts and using oily moisturisers worsen the condition. Since Safi Youth Radiance products are water-based, they are suitable for my skin. Safi Youth Radiance products are Halal and has no mineral oils, no paraben, no alcohol and no animal testing.

Safi Youth Radiance - Anti-aging &Whitening Essence is water-based and combines Saffron Gold technology with benefits of Saffron Extract (antioxidant, anti-aging & brightening benefits), BeetoxLipo Vitamin C (brightens skin, prevents damage from UV) and Hyaluronic Acid (hydrates and locks skin moisture for 24 hours).

Direction of use
Pour the right amount and spread evenly on palms. Apply on face and neck with a gentle circular massage until absorbed onto the skin.

I like that the texture is waterly, light weight, non-sticky and absorbs easily onto my skin. This product contains gold flakes which is good for skin. I use it once during the day and once at night before applying Safi Youth Radiance Serum Infused Moisturiser.

Safi Youth Radiance - Serum Infused Moisturiser is water-based and is for whitening and hydration. It has Saffron Extract (antioxidant, anti-aging & brightening benefits), Lipo Vitamin C (brightens skin, prevents damage from UV) and Vita B3 (improves skin tone, fine lines & dullness).
