Dream Trip to Macau

I would like to thank  Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) and Nuffnang Malaysia for giving us Nuffnangers a chance to win a 3D2N all expense paid trip to Macau. I'm really excited as I write this. I will start off with the places I have visited in Macau, then give 3 reasons why I want to go there again.

Macau is a wonderful place to visit. I have been there once with my parents in 2007. One of the most memorable places I've visited was the famous landmark of Macau, Ruins of St. Paul's which was originally built in the 16th century. It's the complex of St. Paul's College and the Cathedral of St. Paul, burned down and rebuilt many times before the last fire in 1835 left it beyond repair.

This is how it looks like from the back & side.

There is a museum of Sacred Art and Crypt built at the bottom of the ruins where many religious artifacts can be seen. Admission to the museum is free everyday.

Nearby the Ruins of St. Paul's is the Senado Square. If you walk here, you would be given delicious almond cookies for tasting from each shop. After walking from one end to the other, you will certainly be full eating all the yummy almond cookies. We had dinner at a very nice restaurant selling pork chop buns here. Besides this restaurant, we also ate at the famous pork chop buns at Tai Lei restaurant. It's unbelievable that the queue was very long and we saw many reporters there that day.

My favorite almond cookies.

Juicy pork chop buns.

We also visited the Portugese Village the next day.

We visited the Macau Tower too. Getting around Macau by bus was very convenient as we had a map which shows all the bus routes and bus numbers.

Now comes the important part, why do I want to visit Macau again? It's simply because there are so many places in Macau which I haven't been to. The first place I would like to visit are the casinos. The beautiful architecture and lightings at night just mesmerizes me. When I was there, most of the casinos were still under construction and I managed to see the main entrances of some casinos.

I want to see the Venetian, ride the gondola and shop till I drop. I know I'll love it because it's just like Venetian at Las Vegas. The night view is so romantic and lovely.

The second place I would love to visit is The Ciy Of Dreams. It has lots of entertainment such as The House Of Dancing Water and The Dragon's Treasure. The former is a stage pool that holds 3.7 million gallons of water (about 5 Olympic sized swimming pools) , 239 water jets are built into the stage lifts for the waters to shoot up to 18 meters in height. Wow! Amazing! It's a must see for me when I'm in Macau. The latter is a 360 degrees screen where 4 Dragon Kings explore the mysterious powers of the Dragon Pearl. The video link for The Dragon's Treasure can be found here.

Last but not least, I would love to visit DreamWorks Experience at the Cotai Strip Resort. This place will definitely cheer me up. Seeing Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and The Madagascar gang brings out the kid in me. It's going to be so much fun mingling and taking photos with these characters!

While visiting all these places, I'll definitely grab some Portugese egg tarts, almond cookies and pork chop buns to satisfy my cravings. I really feel so excited and happy at the thought of all the tourist attractions. Once again, I would like to thank Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) and Nuffnang Malaysia for organizing this contest. Thanks for reading my blog. I hope to be one of the 3 lucky winners. Wish me luck!
