My Unique Malaysian Chocolate Experience at Harriston Signature

If you love to eat and try different flavors chocolate, you have to try Harriston chocolate. This is a Malaysian brand chocolate which uses the finest cocoa beans. Eating chocolate is known to decrease stress levels and make people feel happier. Harriston is founded by S.C. Teng in 2005 and has 5 flagship stores in Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Pahang. Thanks to Mr. Shahrel from Harriston's Sales & Marketing and Racheal, founder of Foodilifecious & drLife for my unique exprience at Harriston Signature.

Harriston has won 3 prestigious awards :
- Gold Award Tourism Boutique Outlet 2017 by Malaysia Tourism Council
- Best Choice Recognition 2016 (Quality Top Branding Chocolate) by Malaysia Inbound Tourism Association (MITA)
- Sin Chew Business Excellence Award 2017 by Sin Chew Daily.

Mr. Shahrel, the friendly staff at Harriston Signature greeted us as we came in and gave a brief description about the establishment of Harriston and 'How Chocolate Is Made'.

He explained the fun facts about chocolate.

From left to right: dark chocolate, white chocolate, milk chocolate and cocoa powder

Harriston chocolates are made using 100% pure cocoa butter in adherence to ISO 9001 and has halal certification. There are more than 150 varieties of chocolate including an exotic range of tropical fruit chocolates, durian chocolates, coconut and Tongkat Ali chocolates. When I was there, it was my first time I tried curry chocolate and chilli chocolate. The curry chocolate tasted just like curry and the chilli chocolate was sweet at first, after it melted, then tasted spicy in the end.

The store is very spacious with many friendly staffs letting you taste the chocolates.

Lovely packaging which tourists can keep as souvenirs or as gifts to friends & family.

Festive Hampers & Gift Boxes are also available.

If you have always wanted to try to make your own chocolate, you can join their DIY Chocolate Workshop. The fee is RM 35 per pax and takes about 1 hour. It comes with Harriston DIY chocolate kit, apron and certificate. My son and I really enjoyed making our own creative chocolate designs.

My creative chocolate designs.

This chocolate workshop is for adults and children above 3 years old. It was a great hands-on experience and we get to bring back our own handmade chocolates. We did the Chocolate Moulding, Lollipop, Chocolate Painting and Moulding Harris, the Orang Utan.

My blogger friends and I had a great experience at Harriston Signature. Here's a group photo of us after our DIY Chocolate Workshop.
